God isn't fair
This is a complaint made by many people when they look at things in the world, whether it's human suffering, success in the lives of wicked people, or other situations we view as being unfair. The Bible often states that there is no paritality with God. The offer of salvation is for all people. However, an interesting point was brought to my attention to the other day: if God was fair, He wouldn't show us any mercy or grace but give us what we deserve, at that probably in an immediate way. But, God isn't fair in the sense that He freely bestows on us abundant grace. I'm sure thankful that God does this. His ways are so much higher than our ways, and beyond our finite understanding.
